ColumbiaSoft Executives

Richard A. Day

CEO, Founder

Richard Day is a strategic expert in the scalability and automation of corporate business processes. As founder of ColumbiaSoft, Day has leveraged his experience in manufacturing – where automation, control, and management of processes and information are essential to the delivery of superior products – to lead the development of innovative technologies that allow businesses of all types to better manage their information and documents.

Prior to founding ColumbiaSoft, Day was owner and president of PED Manufacturing, one of the nation's leading producers of orthopedic prosthetics. Like executives of so many companies, Day had sought an effective solution for employees to manage, share, and locate records. After finding other systems overly complex and costly, Day set out to solve the problem by bringing to market an innovative, low-cost, easy-to-use document management solution. This led Day to fund and launch ColumbiaSoft in 1998.
