Task Manager
Document Locator includes a task automation tool that provides the ability to schedule repetitive document management tasks using Windows Task Scheduler.
For example, you can use this feature to automate document importing by monitoring a file server "watch folder" that receives electronic documents. In this example, the documents might originate from an MFP scanning to the file server folder or from an application's output reporting process. Many business processes and administrative tasks can be automated in this way.
- Allows users to define time intervals and processing requirements used by the scheduled task.
- Supports automatic document importing from a “watch folder.”
- When coupled with the optional Scan Station Module, can automatically start a batch scanning process to import files FTPed to a monitored folder.
- Can be configured to perform automatic actions based on results from a saved search.
- Contains an archive option for exporting documents to a shared drive and removing them from Document Locator.
- Supports automatically moving files from one repository to another at a scheduled time.
- Can be configured to monitor, import, and version files on a shared file server that have been changed by a remote process.
