ColumbiaSoft Releases New Version of its
Document Management Software, Document Locator®,
Compatible with Microsoft Windows 7®
Document Locator version 5.3 will be available in mid-September 2009, and will work with
Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.
Portland, Ore. – Sept 2, 2009 – ColumbiaSoft today announced it will launch a new version of its application, Document Locator, which works with Microsoft Windows® 7 and Microsoft Windows Server® 2008 R2 to offer customers enhanced security, as well as innovative user interface features and reliability improvements. Document Locator is a paperless document management software system for businesses that is tightly-integrated with Microsoft operating systems and applications, making it easy for people to manage, store, control, and share documents and information.

Document Locator version 5.3 is designed to work with both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Integration with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, allows users to manage electronic files, emails, faxes, and scanned paper documents while remaining in the familiar applications they already use on a daily basis. This integration speeds user-adoption and lowers training requirements, making the system easier and faster to deploy across the workforce. The system includes document version control, workflow, scanning, email management and archiving, document delivery, records management, an optional web interface for remote access, and more.
